Drake Bearden graduated cum laude from Temple University in 2005 earning his Bachelor’s of Arts. He then attended Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and graduated in 2009. While at the Beasley School of Law, Drake completed Temple’s nationally ranked Interactive Trial Advocacy Program, and worked as a teaching assistant in the program as well. Drake was also an active member of Temple’s Black Law Student Association ("BLSA"), and volunteered as a coach for the high school mock trial competition held at the Law School.

Prior to joining Costello & Mains, LLC, Drake worked at a New Jersey Law Firm representing plaintiffs in employment law and civil rights cases. During that time, Drake was also a founding member and served as the Vice President of the NAACP Social Justice Law Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing assistant to individuals who otherwise could not receive legal counseling.

Since graduating Law School, Drake has been an active member of the New Jersey Association for Justice (“NJAJ”) and of the National Employment Lawyers Association – New Jersey Branch. He is also a member of the Camden County Bar Association, where he serves as the CLE co-chair, and a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment and Minorities in the Profession Committees. Drake resides in South Jersey and is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is admitted to the Federal Courts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as to the Federal Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
