Lauren Bess joined Costello & Mains in 2021. Lauren earned her JD from Rutgers Law School (Camden) in 2021, and graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University in 2018.
During law school, Lauren worked as a judicial intern to the Honorable Paula T. Dow in Burlington County and as a legal extern for Rowan University's Office of General Counsel. Lauren served as Class President and President of the Women's Law Caucus. She was a member of the Rutgers Intramural Mock Trial Team, practicing her trial lawyer skills in preparation for her career, and also served as the Lead Business & Marketing Editor for the Rutgers Journal of Law & Religion. Lauren also received the Dean's Pro Bono Award for her work with numerous organizations including Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity, Volunteer Up Legal Clinic and Camden Action.
