An increasing number of students in New Jersey require Individualized Education Plans or "I.E.P.'s" which necessitate special considerations, both physical and educational, for students with special needs. These considerations are embodied in the IEP's, also called "504" plans, and they must be followed by the Districts because they are "reasonable" accommodations for handicap or disability.
